ABOUT THE ARTIST

Harriette Germain is a self-taught, Phoenix-based abstract artist raised in the wilderness of Minnesota. Surrounded by forests and rivers in her early years, she developed a fascination with the intricate textures and cycles of the natural world—from tree bark and insects to coral-like structures and shifting landscapes.

Her work today reflects an abstract interpretation of modernity, inspired by her current city life and contemporary culture, while remaining rooted in an enduring connection to nature. She is most influenced by the inherent contrasts of life—growth and decay, light and shadow, chaos and calm—revealing a quiet beauty within the complexity of balance and contradiction.
